June 2, 2019, (Montverde, Florida) – The Orlando Kicks FC WPSL team played their 2nd game of the season earlier today at the Montverde Athletic Complex in Montverde, Florida. The Kicks squad continued their success on the pitch which resulted in a 3-1 win by the time the final whistle sounded. The Kicks opened their scoring in the 7th minute as midfielder Christina Trickett found the back of the net on an assist from Kendall Bobbitt. 2 minutes later, a determined Mafer Contreras would find the back of the net on an assist from Madison Davenport to take the 2-0 within the first 10 minutes of the game. The Florida Tropics would narrow the lead to 2-1 in the 18th minute where the score remained going into the halftime break.
Twenty two minutes into the second half Madison Davenport found the back of the net on a great assist from Shayla Smart as the Orlando Kicks took a 3-1 lead. The lead would remain at 3-1 in favor of the home team as the final whistle blew.
“This was a another great performance by our players as we controlled the tempo and more chances than the opposition. Happy that we are continuing to build momentum” said head coach Robbie Aristodemo
The Orlando Kicks play their next game on the road vs. Florida Krush on Wednesday June 12, 2019 at 6:00PM at Trinity Prep in Winter Park, Florida.
