Clermont, Florida – The Orlando Kicks FC were on the road earlier this morning to take on the Cosmos FC for the team’s second game of the season. Once again, the Kicks dominated possession the first half of the game after a slow start, however, neither team could find the back of the net as the half ended scoreless. Just a few minutes before the water break in the second half, the Cosmos FC team capitalized on a scramble for the ball just inside the 18 yard box and took a 1-0 lead. The Kicks continued their possession & attack after the goal. Finally, in the 38th minute of the second half, the Kicks caught a break as Bella Recinos received a short pass off of a corner kick from Jacey Cotter, took a couple of touches toward the top of the right side of the goal box for a left footed strike that bounced off the keepers hands, touched another opponent and ended in the back of the net. Four minutes later, Keira McCarthy received a well placed pass from Kendall Bobbitt & struck the ball past the keeper for the game winner.
“I thought it was a fantastic comback, we didn’t lose our focus and continued to posses and create opportunities. Great ball from Kendall as well as a perfectly timed run from Keira to seal the win”” said Coach Aristodemo.
