March 27, 2019, (Montverde, Florida) – The recently established Montverde International Futbol Club (MIFC) and Orlando Kicks FC have announced a partnership. This newly formed partnership will allow players to compete and train year-round to better prepare for their club environment or collegiate environment. In some cases, the Orlando Kicks FC has helped players sharpen their skills for professional opportunities worldwide.
Orlando Kicks FC, the premium amateur soccer club in the Central Florida for collegiate players in the off season, is a part of the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL). Players practice three/four times a week and play competitive games in the Sunshine Conference of the WPSL. The MIFC combines a traditional private school setting with elite soccer training for student-athletes pursuing soccer. Both teams will be led by Robbie Aristodemo, head coach of MIFC and former Canadian National Team standout, and his experienced and talented staff.
“We are excited about this opportunity as it will give our players a better, more structured environment to continue their development in the summer months,” said Aristodemo. “Soccer is a year-round sport and development must be continuous to excel. We are committed to a goal of raising the development standards and providing soccer training opportunities for elite players in Central Florida. This partnership is a big step forward in pursuit of those goals.”
The WPSL is in its 22nd season and is the largest woman’s soccer league in the world with more than 100 clubs from coast-to-coast. As part of this league, the Orlando Kicks FC will train and play their home matches at the MIFC facilities on the Montverde Academy campus of in Montverde, Florida. The Orlando Kicks FC roster will include nationally recruited preparatory school student-athletes, and elite collegiate, post-college, and international standout players. Many players are currently enrolled or graduated from MVA.
