Clermont, Florida – The Orlando Kicks FC announced the signing of Citadel’s midfielder Maria “Mafer” Contreras for the upcoming 2018 season. As a true freshmen for the Citadel Bulldogs, Maria played in all 18, making 13 starts. She led the team with three assists to go along with one goal scored for five points on the year. She started the first 10 games of her collegiate career, averaged 61 minutes per game and played all 90 minutes in four contests. A 2017 graduate of Montverde Academy, she helped her team to a 19-0-1 record during her sophomore season as they ranked No. 1 nationally by NSCAA, finished with an impressive 14-2-1 record junior season, won district championship and posted a 21-2-0 record as a senior. She also played on Unifut team in Guatemala, ranked No. 1 in the nation in 2014.

The Orlando Kicks FC announced a brand new UWS team that launched on March 31, 2018. The Orlando Kicks FC program provides elite level training and a competitive game environment for collegiate players during their off season. Players will practice 2-3 times a week and play competitive games in the Southeast Conference of the United Women’s Soccer League (UWS).
Those taking part in the Orlando Kicks FC program have the opportunity to train, learn and play alongside other elite level players.
